Your journey begins as we depart from the UK, with convenient pick-up points along the route, and travel south towards the coast for our ferry crossing to France. Sit back and relax as we continue our journey through the French countryside towards Luxembourg.
By evening, we arrive in the beautiful city of Luxembourg, where we check in to our hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to unwind after the journey—relax, settle in, or take a first look at your festive surroundings.
We prepare for the exciting days ahead exploring some of Switzerland and Luxembourg's most stunning destinations.
Today we travel into Switzerland to discover two of its most charming cities, both glowing with festive spirit.
We begin in Basel, where the Christmas markets fill the old town with twinkling lights, mulled wine, and traditional stalls. Enjoy free time to wander the streets and soak up the atmosphere.
We then continue to Bern, Switzerland's picturesque capital, where the historic old town is transformed for the season. Explore the markets, browse the stalls, and take in the city's medieval charm before we return to our hotel in the evening.
Today we discover some of Switzerland's most iconic sights, mountains, and cities.
We begin in Lucerne, with its famous wooden bridges, colourful old town, and stunning lake and mountain backdrop. For those wanting a closer look at the Alps, an optional cable car journey up Mount Pilatus offers breathtaking views over the surrounding peaks and valleys.
We then visit the Lindt Chocolate Factory, a must for any chocolate lover, before continuing to vibrant Zurich, Switzerland's largest city. Enjoy free time to explore the festive markets, old town, and lakeside before we return to our hotel in the evening.
Today is dedicated to the breathtaking alpine scenery that makes Switzerland world-famous, especially beautiful under a blanket of winter snow.
We begin in Lauterbrunnen, surrounded by towering cliffs and frozen waterfalls—one of the most picturesque locations in the country. From here, we continue to Grindelwald, a classic alpine village beneath the peaks of the Eiger. For those wanting to go higher still, an optional excursion to Jungfraujoch, "Top of Europe," offers unforgettable views above the clouds.
Our final stop of the day is Interlaken, beautifully set between two lakes and framed by snow-capped mountains, before we return to the hotel in the evening.
On our final full day, we visit the elegant lakeside city of Geneva.
Set along the shores of Lake Geneva and surrounded by mountain views, Geneva offers a perfect close to your Swiss adventure. Enjoy free time to explore the charming streets, browse the festive markets, and see the iconic Jet d'Eau.
Later, we begin our return journey, travelling back through France to the coast for our overnight crossing back to the UK, arriving home in the early morning with drop-offs at all original pick-up points.
After an incredible few days exploring Luxembourg and Switzerland's most iconic cities, markets, and mountain scenery, we bring this unforgettable winter tour to a close.
